Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Are you calm, resilient, and ready to support students who need more than just academic guidance?

We are delighted to be working with a dedicated secondary Social, Emotional, and Mental Health school, seeking a committed and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to join the team. About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant in our school, you will:

Support students 1:1 and in small groups, both in and out of the classroom

Help bridge learning gaps and rebuild confidence in a structured, therapeutic environment

Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to support individual needs

Maintain strong and appropriate boundaries while building positive, trusting relationships

Model positive behaviours and emotional regulation techniques

About The Students:

All have EHCPs for SEMH

Typically do not have learning difficulties, but struggle due to disrupted education and low self-esteem

KS4 students work toward up to 9 GCSEs as well as vocational qualifications

What We're Looking For:

Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs, ADHD, ASD, or complex safeguarding concerns

A calm, consistent, and empathetic approach

A team player who can follow behaviour plans and school policies

A genuine desire to help young people succeed

We Offer:

A supportive, close-knit team of staff who care deeply about student outcomes
