Position Overview:We are seeking a talented Private Client Solicitor to join a thriving and experienced team. Reporting directly to the Head of Private Client, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ PQE, specialising in wills, estate administration, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, and related private client matters. This role offers significant opportunities for professional development within a forward-thinking firm.
Key Responsibilities: - Advising clients on wills, estate planning, trusts, tax issues, powers of attorney, estate administration, and inheritance matters.
- Managing incoming instructions and supporting the wider team.
- Conducting client meetings at various locations including homes, nursing homes, and hospitals.
- Building strong relationships with clients and local professionals.
- Drafting legal documentation and correspondence accurately.
- Managing client billing effectively.
- Utilising case management software daily.
- Participating in marketing events and contributing to the firm's business development activities.
Requirements: - 3-8+ years PQE in Private Client law.
- Strong expertise in estate planning, will preparation, and powers of attorney.
- Experience handling taxable estates and trust administration.
- Ability to draft complex legal documents with high accuracy.
- STEP membership is essential; Association of Lifetime Lawyers membership is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent with Microsoft Word and willingness to learn case management systems.
