Senior Accountant, Leatherhead Surrey

Hybrid working | £44,000 to £52,000

Our client is a high-growth and modern independent firm of accountants who have enjoyed great success across all their disciplines in recent years. Fletcher George present a fabulous opportunity for either a late stage studier or a recently or newly qualified ACA or ACCA qualified accountant to join the firm in a supervisory role. If you are still to complete your final papers of ACA or ACCA your application is still very welcome as comprehensive study support can be offered.

The role of Senior Accountant is for someone who loves all things around statutory reporting – based in the Surrey office and as the successful candidate you will work closely with the wider business and the senior management team.

Senior Accountant Salary and Benefits

Salary of £44,000 - £52,000 plus an excellent range of benefits, including hybrid working and the client is happy to talk about part-time applications around the equivalent of four full days

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant’s responsibilities include managing a small portfolio of some complex statutory accounts and also reviewing the work of more junior staff including the following:

• Review of statutory year-end accounts
• UK financial reporting for limited companies and LLPs and some subsidiaries of larger International Groups
• Review the quality of more junior team members and also offer support to active studiers within the team

Senior AccountantSkills and Experience

• You will be a recently Qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent Accountant or a late stage studier
• You will ideally have experience of statutory year-end accounts preparation gained in a Practice environment to include UK GAAP FRS102 and some exposure to IFRS and FRS 101 reduced disclosure framework.
• Good IT experience including Xero

Location

The Senior Accountant role is based in Leatherhead, Surrey and is commutable from Kingston, Egham, Sunbury, Dorking, Reigate, Epsom, Cobham, Woking and surrounding areas.
