Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Banbury
Salary: £48,650 per annum | Hours: 42 hours/week (3.5-day shifts, 3 on/2 off rotation)

About the Role:
Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for problem-solving? We're seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Banbury team, ensuring machinery efficiency and minimal downtime in a dynamic food production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform preventative maintenance and rapid breakdown response (mechanical/electrical/PLC).

* Lead teams, mentor junior engineers/apprentices, and deputise for the Engineering Shift Manager.

* Troubleshoot root causes, implement improvements, and ensure compliance with health/safety standards.

* Manage contractors and maintain clear communication across departments.

* Produce shift reports and minimise plant disruption through effective decision-making.

What You'll Need:

* Essential:

* Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship OR HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.

* 6+ years' engineering experience with mechanical fitting and PLC programming skills.

* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

* Proficiency in maintenance of process machinery.

* Desirable:

* Food manufacturing experience.

* Refrigeration, welding/fabrication, or IEE 17th/18th Edition qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £45,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
