Teaching Assistant – Woking

Full-time | Term-time only | Immediate or ASAP start

We are seeking a dedicated, proactive, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and high-achieving primary/secondary school in Woking. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning.
• Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning and encourage progress.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs, helping to create a positive and nurturing environment.
• Assist with classroom preparation, resource creation, and general administrative tasks.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, safe and supportive learning atmosphere.
• Supervise pupils during break times, transitions, and school activities as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children (school, tutoring, childcare, youth work, etc.).
• A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to use initiative and follow guidance from teaching staff.
• A genuine interest in education and supporting pupil development.
• A valid DBS certificate or willingness to undergo a new check.
