Job Overview

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor seeking your next challenge? Our client, a reputable Construction Management company based in central Berkshire, is looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team with a longer-term goal for you to move up to a Managing Quantity Surveyor and ultimately Commercial Director role. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects across the Thames Valley region and further develop your career in a thriving environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the commercial aspects of designated construction projects from inception to completion.

* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.

* Lead the negotiation and procurement of contracts and sub-contractors.

* Monitor project progress, valuations, and variations, ensuring costs are controlled and value is maximised.

* Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.

* Mentor and manage junior surveyors and support team development.

Requirements

* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

* RICS would be a distinct advantage but not essential

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within construction or civil engineering.

* Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, contracts (JCT/NEC), and commercial procedures.

* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel).

* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the Thames Valley and Greater London regions.
