We’re supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Leeds who are looking to add a Multi Skilled Maintenance / Mechanical Engineer to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company offering a salary of £30,000 – £33,000 plus benefits and long-term career prospects.

Key Benefits:

• Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 (depending on experience)

• Day shifts Monday to Friday

• Call-out rota for additional earning potential

• Opportunity to work with advanced machinery and specialist equipment

The Role:

• Carry out routine maintenance and respond to breakdowns across production machinery

• Diagnose faults and implement repairs to minimise downtime

• Strip down, repair, and replace mechanical parts such as gears, bearings and gearboxes

• Support with fabrication and welding when needed

• Assist with new installations and project work

• Work closely with the wider engineering team to ensure smooth operations

The Person:

• Apprentice trained in Mechanical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

• Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment

• Strong skills in pneumatics, welding, and fabrication

• Knowledge of PLCs and the ability to work with specialist equipment

• Proactive, team-oriented and able to manage own workload

• Desirable extras: machining/turning skills, CAD knowledge, electrical fault-finding experience
