Embedded Software Engineer

With a solid, relevant, technical degree from a top university, you will have current experience as an embedded software engineer working on Linux kernel system development - in real time using C. Debugging and optimising code and along with identifying and fixing problems/logjams will be a normal part of your current day to day work.

Driver development (ideally on ARM platforms), software/hardware interfacing and application development skills are essential.

You will be coding with Python, Perl, Objective C, C++, Bash, Java amongst others. A working knowledge/understanding of communication protocols and wireless technologies is required as is experience in testing. If your background is in defence, sensors, medical, etc., this will be a distinct advantage.

The company is involved with a wide range of IoT and other technical products in the above industry sectors. The range of projects is wide giving an opportunity to develop a wide range of skills as well as being interesting and varied. It is a fast paced environment with good support and training.

The role is subject to Security Clearance.

Salary is up to £60,000 per annum (negotiable higher for the right candidate).
