Media relations and content strategist

Location: London (hybrid)

Salary: Up to £68,000

The Media Relations and Content Strategist for the UK is responsible for building my client's share of voice in the regional trade and top tier media alongside social media through proactive engagement, quality content and thought leadership on core topics and trends, as well as contributing to a one-voice communication strategy across the organisation.

You are responsible to share my client's story of dynamic growth and digital transformation and start conversations about topics that are shaping the future, from climate risk to cyber security.

Plan and execute a strategic communications framework tailored to meet the diverse needs of our external audiences across the region, including media, clients, shareholders and public audiences. Ensuring the plan combines an appropriate mix of traditional and digital channels and outreach

  • Work with business leaders, writers and creative agencies to create compelling executive narratives, messaging/content and thought leadership and contribute coverage results to the Group's monthly media analysis.
  • Work closely with the wider UK Marketing Communication team to deliver end-to-end consultancy on campaign and strategic topics to ensure integrated MarCom support being performed
  • Being prepared to respond to changing regulation and industry issues in collaboration with business leaders

What we need from you:

  • A University degree preferably in Journalism, Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Business Administration or Economics; an advanced graduate degree would be an advantage
  • 10 years' experience (or equivalent) of proven expertise in financial and corporate communications, including in financial services roles in the UK (London desirable)
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
