Comfort Xpress LLC is searching for a detail-oriented, and hardworking full-time Department Manager - HVAC Installers to lead and train our Seminole, OK installation technicians in the ways of success.

You can expect a $1,500 sign-on bonus and to earn an annual salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 in this management position. We also provide top-notch benefits such as 50% company-paid medical insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, and company-paid mileage and gas.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DEPARTMENT MANAGER - HVAC INSTALLERS

Your role as the Department Manager - HVAC Installers is critical to the success of your staff. Especially since they rely on you to train them and encourage the development of their field skills and knowledge. You also use reported metrics to look for improvement. Leading by example, you show your passion for safety at job sites, with equipment, and in employee-training. When it comes to hiring, you develop 'new hire programs' for every onboarding installation technician. On a daily basis, you work with the service department to offer support, communicate about current scheduling, conduct meetings, and provide information about the employees' activities.

In an effort to maintain high-quality work, you visit job sites and inspire all installation technicians to be proud of their hard work and to continually improve. They also count on you to guide them as they handle difficult, complex problems or resolve escalated complaints and disputes. Being the approachable person that you are, your installation technicians are never afraid to ask you questions. This helps you cultivate an open, honest, team-oriented, and healthy work culture. Working closely with the dispatch department, you manage your team's schedule, assignments, and sequences to meet ongoing customer demand and seasonal-related spikes. You're also very professional as you represent the company when dealing with customers, vendors, team members, and the general public!

Besides ensuring quality work in the field, you enjoy staying on top of your administrative duties. Thanks to your keen attention to detail, you effectively review and approve financial statements, production reports, payroll documents, and department shipping invoices. You also compile and report on performance data and make an effort to analyze and measure productivity as well as goal achievement. The results you find help you identify ways to maximize efficiency and profitability. Keeping company policies in mind, you establish department objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards. By the end of the day, you're satisfied knowing that your staff and clients trust you, which keeps them part of the Comfort Xpress family for the long haul!


DEPARTMENT MANAGER - HVAC INSTALLERS QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in management
  • Some field knowledge as well as the understanding of business principles and financial analysis, including cash flows and other valuation techniques
  • Willing and able to travel between our two offices in Seminole and Oklahoma City (in the first 6 months)
  • Strong leadership skillset
