Deputy Principal Corporate Resources
Waltham Forest College
At Waltham Forest College we aim to be the first choice for vocational excellence. With an income of over £20m, a broad offer and a focus on responsive, outstanding teaching, learning and support, we make a huge impact on the success and well-being of our learners, employers and local communities.
Over the last three years we have been on a transformational journey, which has brought about impressive successes in our learners’ outcomes and an aspirational culture with a passionate, committed workforce. This has culminated in our Ofsted ‘Good’ across all areas judgement, and we intend to build on this further and ensure that the college is truly outstanding in all that we do. In addition, we have developed a fantastic campus and doubled our apprenticeship numbers year on year.
We are now looking to appoint an accomplished, experienced and commercially driven Deputy Principal Corporate Resources to help capitalise on our continued success. As a senior postholder and part of the Executive Team, you will be jointly responsible for all corporate decisions that affect the college. You will drive commercial development, controlling financial management and mitigating key business risks through leadership and management of all aspects of Finance, IT, MIS, Estates and Business Innovation. You will develop and implement strategic approaches to the management of the college’s finances, identifying how the budgets can be utilised and managed most effectively, and ensuring that all strategic planning decisions are informed by relevant financial perspectives.
We are seeking to appoint a fully qualified accountant with proven leadership experience who can demonstrate a successful track record of developing and implementing strategic resource planning. You will be results focused, with significant experience of setting and achieving operational targets relating to financial management and income generation.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an organisation which strives to raise aspiration and opportunity across our community.
We are actively encouraging applications from suitably qualified individuals from both within and outside of the education sector. If you feel you have the expertise to make a significant contribution to our success, then we would like to hear from you.
