Teaching Assistant for a Specialist Complex Needs SEND School in Chorley

The school are looking for someone with experience within health and social care to join their care giving team within the school. This role requires someone with a lot of experience providing personal care and someone that can work in a fast-paced environment with a 'can-do' attitude. Manual Handling and hoisting training and experience is preferred but the school are willing to provide training if necessary.

The school also offers chance for progression with the role as well. Initially the school is looking for someone to provide support in care giving across different classrooms, but this is with the view for the candidate to progress to within a single classroom as primary care giver.

The school is a fantastic place to work and promises the opportunity of a temp-to-perm contract for the right person. The school looks after its staff very well and provides a fantastic environment for both children and staff to thrive in.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience, knowledge and willingness in carrying out personal care (necessary)
Experience and Training in Manual Handling and Hoisting (preferred)
Experience with SEND
The ability to build good relationships with the staff and pupils.
