An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly ambitious and commercially minded individual to join a market-leading and fast-growing company. As a Commercial Assistant, you will contribute to the continuous growth of the business by helping to define and implement the commercial strategy and influence the fulfilment of key business objectives.
Day-to-day of the role: - Work alongside relevant stakeholders to support the management of the company’s commercial offer, including pricing and commercial agreements with partners.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Management function to review, calculate, implement, and communicate the sales pricing of new and existing products, considering competitor activity, market positioning, and movements in the company’s cost base.
- Undertake commercial analysis and provide direction and recommendations to stakeholders on the right commercial decisions for the business.
- Provide commercial support to new business tenders and activities of the internal and external sales teams.
- Monitor, report, and comment on performance against forecasts of sales, costs, and margin.
- Maintain awareness of market and competitor activity (product, price, promotions, etc.).
- Work closely with the Business Systems team and the customer base to ensure systems are maintained and accurate with product and pricing data.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Educated to degree level in a relevant business discipline (e.g., Business Studies, Business Management, Finance, Economics).
- At least 1 year of post-graduation work experience.
- Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial approach.
- Strong analytical skills with a thorough and accurate approach to work.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage well with multiple stakeholders and business functions.
