Dalgety Bay Care Home is a purpose built care home located in the coastal town of Dalgety Bay in Fife. Providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 68 residents, the home offers a warm, welcoming and supportive environment where team members can make a meaningful difference every day.

Laundry Assistant

  • £12.71 per hour
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Pension, Paid PVG, Uniform provided, Onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract

Role Overview
As a Laundry Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the daily running of the home by ensuring residents' clothing and linens are clean, well cared for and returned promptly. Your work will directly support residents' comfort, dignity and wellbeing.

You will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing and organising laundry, ensuring all items are handled with care and labelled correctly. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness within the laundry area and follow infection prevention and health and safety procedures at all times.

Working closely with the wider team, you will help ensure a safe, organised and well maintained environment throughout the home.

What We Are Looking For

  •  Good attention to detail and a high standard of work
  •  Reliable and organised approach
  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  •  Understanding of hygiene and infection prevention practices
  •  Previous laundry or domestic experience is desirable but not essential
