Salary: Up to £41,623.66 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 48 hours per week:

Days: Monday to Friday 6am - 4:15pm

AND/OR (option for days, nights or rotating)

Nights: Monday to Thursday - 4 x 12 hour shifts 6pm - 6am

Location: Ferryhill, DL17 9DT

What you'll be doing;
  • You will be responsible for the day to day service, MOT preparation and repairs of our HGV's.
  • You will keep our HGV's safely on the road, so our street side operatives can carry out their duties for our millions of customers.
  • Responsible for carrying out routine vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, fault finding and repairs to ensure our fleet is reliable, available and safe.
  • Ensure all workshop tools, personal tools and welding equipment must be secured and where possible locked away each night. Welding and electrical equipment should be turned off and left in a safe condition when not in use.
  • Attend roadside breakdowns if required and work as part of a team.

What we're looking for;
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Technician ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification.
  • Hold a HGV driving licence.
  • Supply your own comprehensive tool kit.
