Library Operative - Hourly Rate: £13.85 PAYE

- Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday (with a day off during the week)
We are seeking 5 Library Operatives for a temporary assignment to assist with manual tasks within a library environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are physically fit and capable of handling tasks that involve walking, lifting, and occasional climbing.
Day-to-day of the role: - Shelving books and ensuring they are organised according to the library system.
- Retrieving books from various sections of the library, which may involve climbing ladders or using kick stools.
- Pushing trolleys loaded with books across different sections of the library.
- Assisting in the setup of library displays and rearrangement of library furniture as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly library environment.
- Handling other related tasks as directed by the library management.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Physical fitness and ability to engage in manual labour including lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
