Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Bramhall - September Start

Are you a recent Psychology graduate eager to gain practical experience supporting young people in an educational setting? A well-regarded secondary school in the Bramhall area, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring educational or clinical psychologists, teachers, or mental health professionals to develop valuable skills and experience. You will work closely with teaching staff and the school's SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) department to support students with a range of additional needs, including autism spectrum condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

Your role will include providing targeted support to students both in and out of the classroom, helping them to engage with their learning and manage their emotions in a structured and supportive environment. You may be involved in delivering tailored interventions, using strategies designed to build confidence, resilience, and positive behaviour, and assisting in the development of individual education plans (IEPs). Patience, empathy, and the ability to form positive relationships are key.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
