TSR are recruiting for an Associate Director - Building Surveyor for our client, a leading consultancy specialising in Architecture, Building Surveying, Project Management, Building Services, Cost Consultancy, and Facilities Management.

You will be based out of their Manchester OR Liverpool office. You must be willing to travel when required.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing junior surveyors, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of building surveying services. The Associate Director will work closely with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure the highest standards in building assessment, compliance, and project delivery.

Key Duties:

Leadership & Team Management

Lead and mentor junior surveyors, offering technical guidance and support.

Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

Project Management & Delivery

Manage multiple surveying projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery.

Oversee inspections and reports across building types, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Advise clients on building maintenance, refurbishments, and repairs.

Uphold high technical and quality standards throughout project execution.

Client Relationship & Business Development

Build strong client relationships and deliver tailored solutions.

Serve as the main client contact, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

Prepare proposals and bids, including cost estimates and timelines.

Technical Expertise & Consultancy

Provide expert advice on surveys, party wall matters, dilapidations, and compliance.

Lead complex inspections and recommend remedial works.

Ensure clear, accurate, and industry-compliant documentation.

Stay current with legislation, trends, and best practices.

Risk Management & Compliance

Ensure all work complies with legal, safety, and regulatory standards.

Identify project risks and advise on mitigation strategies.

Maintain proper documentation for compliance.

Financial Oversight & Reporting

Manage project budgets and financial performance.

Monitor costs and ensure profitability.

Report on project, team, and financial performance to leadership.

In return you will receive a salary of £45,000 - £65,000 depending on experience, plus car allowance and mileage.
