With a strong reputation and a steady pipeline of work-including schemes valued up to £10 million for major clients- this accredited contractor offers a dynamic environment where your career can truly thrive. As part of their continued growth, they're looking to welcome a Quantity Surveyor into their successful commercial team, offering real opportunities for progression and professional development. This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Derby office.Your new roleAs a Quantity Surveyor, your key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing financial management and valuation of highways projects across England and Wales
- Maintain robust financial control systems and produce monthly cost-value reconciliation reports
- Provide commercial and contractual support to operational teams, ensuring seamless communication between site and office
- Attend site visits as required to support project delivery and client engagement
- Contribute to a culture of transparency, collaboration, and entrepreneurial thinking
What you'll need to succeed
- BSc / HND / HNC in Quantity Surveying (preferred but not essential)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the highways or local authority sector
- Proven track record in cost-value reporting and project financial management
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead client-facing discussions
- Full UK driving licence required
