English Teacher (SEMH School)

Location: Lancaster, Lancashire

Salary: £153.85 - £238.59 per day

Start September 2024 - July 2025

Tradewind are currently seeking an experienced English Teacher for a special educational needs and mental health (SEMH) school within Lancaster. The successful candidate will have experience working with children and young people with SEMH ADHD, ASD, needs and a passion for helping them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering engaging and effective English lessons to pupils with SEMH needs
Assessing, marking and providing feedback on pupils' work
Monitoring and evaluating pupils' progress
Working closely with other teachers and support staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
Creating a positive and supportive learning environment for pupilsRequirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching English in a SEMH setting
Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment requirements
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work well as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
