Job Summary
Exporter Product Manager is primarily responsible for executing exporter business strategy across two largest exporter markets (France and Germany) by closely working with sales and banking teams. Drive Trade origination across target names by marketing Citi's global network and product capabilities. This role will be integral part of the Export Letter of Credit (ELOC) product team responsible for deal execution, ownership and growing of the P&L, and research on market dynamics and competition. Responsible for making recommendations on product changes/developments in line with market needs. Represent Citi externally at client events and conferences. Execute exporter strategy against agreed targets, driving internal & external sales support with materials, trainings and participation.
Position Objective
  • Execute exporter business strategy across two largest exporter markets (France and Germany) by closely working with product and various Citi teams.
  • Drive primarily exporter centric flow origination across large non-client target names by marketing Citi's global network and product capabilities.
  • This role will be integral part of the Export Letter of Credit (ELOC) product team responsible for deal execution, ownership and growing of the P&L, executing product strategy and research on market dynamics and competition.
  • Product changes/developments in line with client market needs - closely work with the relevant stake holders (Product/Operations/Legal/Other approvers)
  • Represent Citi externally at exporter centric client events and conferences.
  • Measure the performance against agreed targets, driving internal & external sales support with materials, trainings and participation.
  • Based on market dynamics, develop / customize product offering to suite emerging trends and new demands.
Key Responsibilities
  • The primary focus of this  job will be extensive client calling to drive new ELOC trade business and establish new exporter relationships in the market.
  • Work with corporate banking and coverage teams to arrange lines and pricing to support pipeline deals.
  • Role will involve working with trade operations and product to ensure robust execution and revenue ramp up for the defined client set. 
  • Provide market intelligence on product capabilities that exist in the market.
Development Value
  • Ultimately this role could lead to moves into other Trade product areas, sales management roles within Trade as well as other client facing organizations such as TTS client coverage.
