Overview

An established engineering manufacturer is seeking a reliable and organised Storekeeper to join its busy stores team. This role is key to ensuring efficient stock control, accurate booking of goods, and smooth internal supply of parts to support production operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with engineering stores experience who enjoys a hands-on role in a structured, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Managing deliveries and booking in incoming parts

Inspecting goods received to ensure quality and accuracy

Picking components and parts for production requirements

*

Maintaining accurate stock control and location systems

*

Booking out parts and reporting discrepancies or shortages

*

Updating internal stock management systems

*

General stores housekeeping and organisation

*

Supporting colleagues across departments with a professional, customer-focused approach

*

Carrying out additional duties as required by management

Person Specification

*

Previous experience working within an engineering or manufacturing stores environment

*

Familiar with computerised stock control systems

*

Strong numerical and data entry skills

*

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

*

Proactive with strong time management and problem-solving abilities

*

Able to work independently and as part of a team

*

Forklift licence desirable (training can be provided)

*

Experience using pallet stackers advantageous (training provided)
