A client of ours in the Braintree area are recruiting an Accountant to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm and paying £40,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.

Reporting to the FD, key duties include but are not limited to:

Project Financial Management:

Support accurate accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking for projects.
Monitor expenditures and report variances.Cost Control & Analysis:

Track expenses against budgets/contracts.
Analyse cost trends and identify risks or savings.
Ensure proper cost allocation with project managers.Revenue Recognition:

Assist in revenue calculation and billing per standards and contracts.
Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition.Project Accounting Support:

Maintain accurate records of project invoices, costs, and revenues.
Support month-/year-end closings, reconciliations, and reporting.
Prepare financial statements and reports.Financial Reporting:

Prepare reports on budgets, P&L, cash flow, and KPIs.
Support audits and ensure data accuracy.
Handle internal reporting for management and stakeholders.Collaboration & Communication:

Coordinate with teams and stakeholders to provide financial insights.
Ensure alignment between finance and operations.
Help resolve project finance issues.
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Accountant position:

CIMA or ACCA accountancy qualified.
Previous finance or project accounting experience essential
Proficient within accountancy software
Strong Excel skills
Experience within the telecommunications industry desirable but not essential.
