You will play a key role in managing import and export customs declarations, advising clients on compliance matters, and ensuring efficient cross-border movement of goods. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of UK and Irish customs procedures, is detail-oriented, and thrives under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit accurate import/export customs declarations

Advise clients on classification, valuation, and origin of goods

Ensure all customs paperwork complies fully with regulatory standards

Liaise with HMRC, Irish Revenue, freight forwarders, and clients to ensure smooth clearance

Assist in training and mentoring junior team members

Keep abreast of changes in customs legislation and trade regulations

Requirements:

Experience doing customs clearances or international trade compliance

Solid knowledge of UK and Irish customs processes, transit movements, and tariff codes

Proficiency with customs software platforms

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
