Job title: Credit Controller

Location: Hampton - Middlesex

Hours: Full time - permanent - 37.5 hrs a week

Salary: Up to £32,000

Job description:

* Chase debtors via email/phone and issue credit control letters.

* Collect payments from clients by direct debit and issue remittance advices.

* Ensure cash is allocated on a timely basis and old balances are cleared.

* Post cash received to sales ledger and liaise with 3rd party clients.

* Allocate payments received for disposals.

* To ensure that customer queries over invoices are resolved promptly, liaising with other areas of the business if necessary.

* Provide details of cash expected from clients for cashflow forecast based on remittance advices received.

* Prepare the daily banking and deposit with the bank.

* Prepare and despatch all sales ledger invoices and statements at month end, including customer specific reports as required.

* Maintain the financial integrity of the data held on the sales ledger including raising manual invoices and credit notes as needed.

* Prepare and circulate weekly debtor lists punctually.

* Own the Sales Ledger/Credit Control function.

* Support the Finance Manager.

Key skills:

* Minimum 3-5 years in a credit control/sales ledger role in SME environment.

* Meticulous attention to detail & organisational skills.

* Solid numeracy skills.

* Good IT skills - including MS Office - Excel / accounts/finance related software.

* Empathy and a positive and flexible outlook.

* Excellent customer care/service ability.

* Able to work to deadline with changing priorities.

* Kerridge or Fleetware software experience an advantage.
