Channel Sales Manager - High Street Slough, Berks SL2 5DS Key Accountabilities AkzoNobel is a Dutch headquartered multinational, operating across 150 countries and employing 34,500 people internationally.
The Customer Business Manager will be responsible for managing all AkzoNobel brands within the specified customer, with direct responsibility for a P&L in excess of ;20m GIV and with aggressive investment and growth plans.
Global revenue for 2018 was 10 billion euros, global EBITDA was billion euros Reporting into the Customer Business Director you will manage and develop one of AkzoNobel’s leading customers.
This role involves building and influencing relationships, delivering AkzoNobel's business strategy to gain commercial advantage over our competitors and ultimately delivering profitable share growth for AkzoNobel.
This exciting role also has one direct report.
Key Activities Reporting into the Customer Business Director, this is a pivotal role in helping to deliver profitable and sustained value and margin growth for one of AkzoNobel’s largest Customers.
The jobholder is responsible and accountable for managing and developing the customer relationship, while looking at ways to develop and grow our offering, across the full AkzoNobel brand portfolio.
The jobholder is also responsible and accountable for delivering significant improvements in business processes & cost savings opportunities for the account.
As delivery of specific projects is vital to the success of this role, the job holder needs to work closely with key contacts cross-functionally within AkzoNobel, as well as externally within the customer business.
As such, excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are essential to succeed in this role.
In 2019 the jobholder’s Budget objectives include: - Achieving GIV, sales value and CM targets - Deliver portfolio EPOS and forecast accuracy in line with targets - Agreeing a winning 5P promotional plan which is brilliantly executed - Managing working capital on the account Experience - Educated to Degree level (optimal but not essential) - Experience managing National Accounts, working with leading brands and dealing with large complex customers - An FMCG background would be ideal - Proven track record in delivering sustained growth with leading customers - A thorough understanding of how to maximise profitable growth - A track record of developing business processes / performance - Ability to plan effectively to diverse and varied timeframes - Experience in leading cross-functional working teams - Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels - Understanding of complex customers, issues and markets Working in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines, the individual must be able to work under pressure and have the ability to effectively prioritise their workload Working in a team environment, the individual would need to be a team-player with a strong desire to work hard to achieve the results and excellent stakeholder management skills Commercially focussed and financially aware, the individual will be ambitious, driven to succeed and with strong leadership potential The key to success in this role will be negotiating a commercially strong set of Trading Terms, along with critical negotiations around tactical opportunities, including secondary sites & promotions, which drive profitable growth, while securing strong long-term and collaborative working partnerships To apply please visit our website via the link and apply online.
