Design Manager (Civils & Geotechnical) - Freelance Opportunity

Location: Cardiff minimum 3 days per week in office
Contract: Freelance 3-6 months

We are urgently seeking an experienced Design Manager to support a Substation Project. This role will be based from our Cardiff office and requires a proactive professional who can make an immediate impact.

The Role:

Overseeing civil and geotechnical design elements of the Margam Substation project

*

Liaising with stakeholders to ensure technical compliance and project delivery

*

Coordinating with design teams and external consultants

*

Driving design progress to meet programme deadlines

Requirements:

*

Proven experience in substation projects (highly desirable) or wider civils/infrastructure projects

*

Strong background in civil and geotechnical engineering design management

*

Ability to lead design teams and manage multiple workstreams

*

Excellent communication and coordination skills
