Senior Supervisor / Site Manager - perm but will cosider contract

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor / Site Manager to oversee a £1.5m water infrastructure scheme in Congleton, involving the conversion of humus tanks into storm tanks.

This role is ideal for a mechanically biased site leader who is proactive, pragmatic, and capable of taking ownership of day-to-day site operations while working closely with the Project Manager.

The project is already underway (enabling works started), with main works programmed for approximately 8-9 months.

About the Company

We are a Principal Contractor operating within the water sector and have secured a position on the AMP8 framework with United Utilities, covering projects across Cheshire & Merseyside. This presents strong ongoing workload and continuity beyond the initial scheme.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day supervision of site activities

Coordination of subcontractors and direct labour

*

Ordering plant, materials, and site equipment

*

Producing POWRAs and ensuring site documentation is maintained

*

Taking site dimensions and assisting with setting out requirements

*

Supporting the Project Manager with delivery and programme

*

Ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety standards

Candidate Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Senior Supervisor or Site Manager within water or utilities

*

Mechanically biased (essential) with some electrical exposure (beneficial)

*

Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations

*

Able to act on instruction and manage responsibilities independently

*

Practical, solutions-focused and proactive approach

*

SMSTS (preferred)

*

Relevant CSCS card
