Tradewind Recruitment is seeking reliable, proactive and hands-on School Caretakers to join our supply pool, supporting a range of primary and secondary schools across Rotherham.

This role is ideal for someone with caretaking, site management or facilities experience who enjoys variety, takes pride in maintaining safe and well-presented school environments, and can adapt quickly to different settings.

Key Responsibilities

Opening and securing school buildings

Carrying out general maintenance, DIY and basic repairs

Supporting health and safety procedures

Conducting routine premises checks

Managing cleaning supplies and liaising with contractors

Ensuring school grounds are safe, tidy and well maintained

Requirements

Previous caretaking, facilities or site management experience

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Flexibility to work across different schools on short notice

Access to your own vehicle and willingness to travel across Rotherham

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
