Nursery Manager

We are on the lookout for a Nursery Manager with a passion for early childhood education to lead an ‘outstanding’ rated setting North West London.

This well-established nursery offers care for children aged from 3 months until 5 years of age. The beautiful secure building offers a range of facilities including an all-weather garden to the rear of the nursery. The nursery is closed to the tube and well served by local bus routes.

As Nursery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the nursery, providing the highest standard of compliance, care, and education for children and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with staff and parents.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences appropriate to their age and stage
• Build positive relations within the team and parents through effective communication
• Recruit, train, develop, and appraise staff for high-quality childcare practice
• Manage staffing rotas to maintain appropriate staffing levels and ratios
• Manage the financial health of the nursery, managing costs in line with budgets
• Liaise with associations to stay updated in Early Years
• Lead sales and marketing plans, including open days and local campaigns
• Promote a collaborative, friendly environment where each member of the team has a voice

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare, preferably with Management and Leadership qualifications
• Previous experience of a management role within a nursery setting
• Good knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements
• Experience of training and developing an early years learning team
