Service Engineer

Forklift & Warehouse Equipment

Location: Disley / Chesterfield areaRole type: On-site & Field-based

We are a well-established material handling company supplying and supporting forklift trucks and warehouse equipment to a wide range of customers. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our service team.

This role is primarily field-based, with some on-site work, and involves maintaining and repairing a fleet of approximately 25 trucks across the Disley / Chesterfield area.

The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment
• Working on a variety of machines including counterbalance forklifts, pallet trucks and reach trucks
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs efficiently and safely
• Completing breakdowns, planned maintenance and inspections
• Representing the company professionally at customer sites
• Managing your workload independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety

Experience & Skills

Essential:

• Strong, hands-on experience working with forklift trucks
• Mechanical engineering background
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Highly Desirable:

• Experience with Still or Linde equipment

Training

• Ongoing training and support is provided
• Manufacturer or product training available to develop skills across a wider range of equipment

Package & Benefits

• £36,000 – £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Overtime available

Tools

• Engineers are required to supply their own basic tools
• All personal tools are fully insured by the company
