About the Business

We are recruiting for a Finance Director for a successful manufacturing business based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and lead the whole of the finance function.

Main Duties:

As a Finance Director, your main duties include:

• Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to develop and execute financial strategy supporting profitable growth and margin improvement
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes with focus on value creation
• Oversee all financial operations including management accounts, statutory reporting, outsourced payroll and compliance
• Implement and maintain scalable financial systems, controls, and processes
• Lead balance sheet management and reconciliation processes
• Act as strategic business partner across all functions, enabling data-driven decision making
• Support non-financial stakeholders with insights and analysis to drive operational and financial performance
• Challenge assumptions and provide independent perspective on business initiatives
• Lead and develop the finance team (currently 2 direct reports) with focus on capability building
• Present financial results to private equity investors and board members
• Lead relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional services
• Manage day-to-day treasury and banking relationships
• Support due diligence and integration activities for potential acquisitions
• Lead post-acquisition integration from a finance perspective
• Manage UK and Belgian VAT compliance and submissions
• Drive standardisation of financial procedures across operations

This role will be based in offices in Birmingham, working with a great team.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
• Experience in a senior Finance role
• Experience in manufacturing industry
