thefutureworks, Coventry University's dedicated recruitment agency, is currently recruiting for a Campus Services Technician (Electrical) to join the Estates team supporting its London campuses in Dagenham, Whitechapel, Vauxhall, and Greenwich.This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and skilled technician with an NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification (or equivalent) to play a key role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality learning environment for staff and students.Key Responsibilities:* Carry out a range of reactive and planned maintenance tasks across university buildings, focusing on electrical systems.* Undertake lighting repairs, LED upgrades, and replace damaged sockets and fittings.* Support Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities including:o Fire alarm and emergency lighting testso Legionella control (e.g. changing TMVs, flushing systems)o Fire door inspections* Conduct minor repairs such as decorating, plumbing, and general building maintenance.* Maintain accurate records of work, inspections, and compliance checks.* Assist with room setups, office moves, and university events.* Oversee external contractors to ensure work is carried out safely and to required standards.* Proactively report and resolve hazards or non-compliance issues.* Collaborate closely with the Campus Services Officer and Estates team to deliver excellent service.About You:We are seeking candidates who are hands-on, reliable, and take pride in maintaining high standards.
