Car Technician
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £37,440 basic DOE | OTE £48,000
Hours: 40 hours, shifts between 06:00-14:30 / 13:30-22:00, Monday to Friday

Your Role Join a leading commercial vehicle dealership recognised as a Great Place to Work for three years running. We're looking for an experienced and qualified Car Technician to keep customer vehicles safe, roadworthy, and maintained to the highest standards.

As part of a skilled technical team, you'll carry out major and minor repairs, regular inspections, and preventive maintenance. You'll be instrumental in diagnosing faults, planning repairs, and ensuring every vehicle leaving the workshop meets exacting quality standards.

We invest heavily in your development, offering annual appraisals and ongoing training to help you grow professionally.

What You'll Do Daily
Perform major and minor repairs on commercial vehicles

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance services

Maintain workshop inventory and cleanliness

Collaborate with repair teams to diagnose and plan vehicle repairs

Keep accurate repair records using workshop systems

Manage warranty claims and escalate issues as needed

Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting

Complete customer documentation on time and to a high standard

Skills & Experience We're After
Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent)

Proven experience diagnosing and repairing to DVSA standards

Ability to identify worn and faulty components accurately

Full, valid UK driving licence for relevant vehicle classes
