Job Title: Wickman Operator
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire

Working Hours: Late Shift - Monday to Thursday (2pm - 10pm) & Friday (12pm - 8pm)

About The Company: Our client are a precision engineering company, based in Redditch, West Midlands. Our client are specialists in the production and manufacture of machined parts and components for a wide range of industries, including Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Energy, and many more.

The Role: Due to an upcoming retirement, our client are on the hunt for a Wickman Operator, someone who has experience operating multi-spindle lathes (or similar) in a high-paced manufacturing environment.

These machines are dated machines, some even 40 years old. We are searching for an old-school type of Machinist, someone who knows their stuff. You will be instrumental in ensuring efficient machine operation, reducing downtime, and maintaining high-quality output within a lean manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for the operation of 3x Wickman multi-spindle lathes. This role is purely operating, as the company already has someone setting the machines.

Skills Required:

* Experience with Wickman machines is ideal, but not essential. We're open to candidates with experience on similar multi-spindle machines.

* A strong background within machining is required.

* The ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required.
