A leading Insurance firm, based in the City of London, requires a Regulatory Financial Accountant to join their successful and rapidly growing Finance team. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a dynamic and broad-focused team, looking not only at supporting the Regulatory Reporting Manager with the Solvency 2 submissions, but also assisting with core Financial Reporting and projects
Key Duties:
- Develop relationships and engage with senior stakeholders across the business
- Support the Group monthly reporting cycle, including support with management accounts, reporting to parent company and IFRS reporting
- Monitor & maintain balance sheet reconciliations for entities
- Support preparation of quarterly board report
- Responsible for preparation of monthly MI pack submissions
- Prepare & report Solvency II submissions
- Ad hoc projects and requests from Directors
Qualifications & Expertise:
- Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CiMA)
- Experience of general insurance accounting is essential
- Ability to produce high quality work within strict deadlines
- Ability to manage expectations of Senior Managers, Directors and external stakeholders
- SUN knowledge preferred
- Experience within the Insurance industry and UK GAAP or IFRS and SII
