Our client is a leader in their field and due to continued growth are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Deputy Manager for their Nursery to assist in the overseeing of daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. As the Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering positive relationships with parents and the community.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist with the management of the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and families.

* Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff in delivering high-quality early years education.

* Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's development across all areas.

* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards.

* Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and nursery activities.

* Assist with the training and professional development of nursery staff.

Skills and Experience

* A relevant qualification in early years education or child development (e.g., Level 3 or above).

* At least 3 years experience within an early years setting.

* Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and child development principles.

* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.

* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with staff & parents.

* A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.

* First Aid qualification is an advantage but not essential.
