Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Stockport
Salary: £44,000
Shift: Monday to Friday Days based shift role.

This consists of 4 rotating shifts. 05:00am-13:00pm, 06:00am-14:00pm, 14:00pm-22:00pm, 15:00pm-23:00pm. This rotates on a weekly basis. No weekends.

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team within a fast-paced FMCG/processing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our production and packaging operations.

Training and progressionKey Responsibilities:
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment.

Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Use PLCs and laptop based systems for fault finding on automated machinery.

Maintain accurate records using both paper and digital systems.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in CI projects.

Liaise with production teams and coach operators to improve performance.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, housekeeping, and asset care.

Support apprentices and contribute to capital and improvement projects.

 Person Specification:
Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.

Electrical qualification required.

Minimum 1 year's experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally in food, FMCG, or a process industry.

Strong problem-solving and fault diagnosis skills.

Working knowledge of Lean tools and continuous improvement.

Excellent communication and team-working abilities.

Strong IT skills and ability to interpret technical documentation.

Flexible, hands-on approach with a focus on high performance and safety.
