About the Role:Prospero Teaching are looking for a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming primary school in Southport. The school is committed to providing exceptional support for children with additional needs and requires a TA who can contribute to their inclusive and nurturing environment.

You will be working with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs, which may include Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements. The role involves both one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils engage in lessons, develop key skills, and build confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND in a primary setting

• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and differentiation

• Implement individual education plans and behaviour strategies

• Foster positive relationships and promote independence

• Support emotional regulation and communication development

• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment

Essential Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with SEND (school, nursery, or care settings)

• A calm, patient and adaptable approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
