This school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment for children with autism, severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and complex medical needs.This is a fantastic opportunity to support children in their educational, social, and personal development, working closely with experienced class teachers, therapists, and professionals.About the RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting teaching and learning both inside and outside the classroom. You will support pupils' learning and development by delivering one-to-one or small group support, assisting with personal care, behaviour and communication programmes, and supervising during breaks, transport, and educational visits. You'll help implement physical activities (including PE and swimming), contribute to classroom preparation and displays, record pupil progress, administer medication (with training), and attend staff meetings and training as required.About YouWe are looking for candidates who are:* Passionate about working with children with SEN* Experienced or familiar with supporting children with autism, SLD, or PMLD (desirable)* Adaptable, patient, and able to work flexibly as part of a team* Committed to safeguarding and supporting the welfare of children* Willing to engage in ongoing training and professional developmentExperience in a school setting, especially within SEN, is desirable but not essential.
