Operational Tax Manager - Investment Manager - London - Circa £75k-£95k plus bonus, benefits

Robert Walters are hiring for a Operational Tax Manager for a leading international investment management firm.

This is a full-time permanent role based in their Central London office, but supporting 3 days per week working from home.

Reporting into the Head of Tax, the Operational Tax Manager is tasked with a broad operational tax role for the group's entities in the UK, Ireland and Luxembourg.

Responsibilities include:

Develop, manage and maintain a robust process of tax operational protocols and an operational tax diary mapping out the key delivery and compliance deadline dates.
Oversee the outsourced investor tax reporting (UK, Austrian, Swiss and German)
Manage and mitigate withholding tax on portfolio investments, including obtaining relief at source and preparing reclaims, as well as monitoring withholding tax suffered.
Oversee the outsourced direct tax and VAT compliance for UK, Irish and Lux fund vehicles.
Manage the outsourced K-1 and PFIC reporting.
AEOI compliance (CRS / FATCA).
Supervise the outsourced preparation of 1042-S reporting for funds set up as a withholding foreign partnership.
Dealing with IFRIC 23 for the Irish s.110 companies.
Keeping up to date with relevant changes in tax law and practice.
Assisting in the response to periodic investor questions and a variety of internal fund related tax questions.
Assist with tax related side letter requests and attestations.
Assist in providing tax advice to the Product Development team when a new Fund or product is being created.

The company are looking for someone qualified (ACA / ACCA / ICAS / CIMA / CTA) with broad operational tax experience gained either from an operational tax team of a large practice, or from a similar in-house role.

The position comes with a salary of circa £75k-£95k plus a great bonus and benefits package.
