About the Role
A supportive and vibrant primary school in Sefton is seeking an enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term, full-time basis, starting immediately after the Easter break. This role is ideal for someone experienced in Key Stage 1 who is passionate about helping young learners grow in confidence, knowledge, and independence.You will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning needs of pupils across KS1, provide targeted interventions, and help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Supporting learning across KS1, both in-class and through small-group or 1:1 interventions
- Assisting with phonics, early literacy and numeracy activities
- Helping prepare resources and maintain an organised learning environment
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting the school's values
- Supporting pupils with varying needs to ensure all children can access learning
- Contributing to the wider life of the school as required
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working within a primary school, specifically KS1, is essential.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
- Patient, proactive, and nurturing in their approach.
- Confident supporting children of varying abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
