The Position - Applications Engineer

For the successful Applications Engineer our client is offering

1. £35k to £40K Depending on experience
2. Days position

The role - Applications Engineer

1. The role will be reporting to the Engineering Manager and will be based in Shropshire with possible national travel.
2. The successful candidates will be expected to perform a wide range of tasks to support the department and wider business, often working together with our Service Excellence Team, regional Depots, as well as with 3rd party installers and customers

Main Responsibilities of the Applications Engineer:

1. 3D Modelling
2. Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
3. T/win drawings
4. Engineering/ Component drawings
5. Works instructions
6. Technical trouble shooting
7. Conduct sales inquiries and customer visits
8. Supplier / Customer liaison
9. Dealer Support
10. Pricing and cost controller
11. Standards Compliance Advisor

What our client is looking for in an Applications Engineer:

The successful candidate is a good team player, who is flexible with regards to tasks performed. You should be a confident and comfortable interfacing with other departments and stakeholders, as well as being self-motivated and able to operate with minimal supervision.

1. Qualification to HNC or degree level in Mechanical Engineering
2. At least a few years of experience in Commercial Vehicle Application
3. Good technical knowledge
4. Good I.T. skills, including MS Office and the SAP ERP System
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Technical/Hydraulic/Mechanical and electrical knowledge preferred
7. Crane/Lifting equipment experience - preferred but not essential.
