We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team at a welcoming and well-established Day Centre in Preston. This is a rewarding opportunity to support older adults - including those living with dementia - by helping to plan and deliver a wide range of stimulating and therapeutic activities.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assisting in the delivery of daily activities such as arts and crafts, music, games, gentle exercise, and reminiscence sessions

*

Supporting individuals to participate in a way that suits their needs and preferences

*

Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support

*

Assisting with client arrival and departure, including mobility and personal belongings

*

Helping serve meals and refreshments, offering support during mealtimes when needed

*

Creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for everyone

*

Observing and reporting any changes in clients' wellbeing to the Day Centre Manager

*

Working closely with colleagues, volunteers, families, and other professionals
