About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Qualified Nursery Nurse to join our warm and welcoming team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with children and a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You'll play a key role in providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that supports each child's development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged [insert age range, e.g., 0-5 years].

Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate activities and learning experiences in line with EYFS guidelines.

Observe, monitor, and record children's development and progress, sharing information with parents/carers.

*

Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and hygiene of all children at all times.

Work collaboratively with other staff to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment.

*

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment.

*

Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and team members.

*

Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to continuous improvement.

*

Follow all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety protocols.

Requirements

*

Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent).

*

Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.

*

Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.

*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*

A caring, enthusiastic, and professional approach to childcare.

*

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

*

Valid Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

*

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Desirable

*

Additional qualifications such as SEND, Makaton, or Forest School experience.

*

Experience with online learning journals (e.g., Tapestry).
