Quality Assurance Manager - Children's Residential Services

Location: Lancashire & West Yorkshire (travel between services required)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Essential Requirements:

*

Degree/NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent

*

Management diploma or equivalent

*

Enhanced DBS check

*

Clean, current driving licence

*

Minimum 5 years' experience in children's residential care

*

Minimum 2 years' management experience

*

Strong knowledge of childcare legislation including the Children Act 2004 and Children's Home Regulations 2015

*

Experience working with quality systems and processes

*

Proven track record of maintaining regulatory compliance

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

The Role:

As Quality Assurance Manager, you will:

*

Monitor and audit care quality across all residential homes, ensuring regulatory standards are met or exceeded

*

Support Registered Managers and senior leaders in completing action plans and improving services

*

Develop and implement systems to measure care quality and young people's outcomes

*

Lead reflective practice sessions and promote Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

*

Conduct investigations and produce comprehensive reports

*

Prepare quarterly Quality Assurance Board reports and compliance updates

*

Support the opening of new homes, ensuring robust monitoring systems are in place

*

Drive safeguarding best practice through audits and challenge where necessary

*

Build and maintain strong relationships with Ofsted, CIW, and other key agencies

*

Coach and mentor managers to ensure effective leadership across services
