A welcoming primary school in Gateshead is looking for a motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils and gain valuable classroom experience.
This role is perfect for graduates who are considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, or child development and want to gain hands-on experience in a supportive school environment.
The role is part-time, term time only, with working hours between 8.30am and 3.30pm.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils and teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting pupils during lessons to help them stay focused and engaged
• Working with small groups to reinforce learning
• Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities
• Encouraging pupils' confidence and participation
• Helping to create a calm and structured classroom environment
