Senior Quantity Surveyor

£75,000 - £85,000 + Package | Regional Main Contractor

Kingston Barnes is recruiting on behalf of a leading regional main contractor that delivers a wide range of high-quality building projects across the South West and surrounding areas. With a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

Our client is a privately-owned regional contractor with a fantastic reputation for delivering high-quality projects across sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, residential, and heritage. With a strong focus on values, culture, and craftsmanship, they have built long-standing relationships with clients and supply chain partners alike.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for managing projects from pre-construction through to final account. Typical schemes range from £5m - £20m, across a variety of sectors.

Your duties will include:

Leading commercial activities across allocated projects

Managing cost reporting, valuations, payments, and change control

Overseeing procurement and ensuring best value

Working closely with operational teams to ensure successful delivery

Building and maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships

Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members

What We're Looking For

Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS for a main contractor

Track record delivering new build, design & build, and traditional build schemes

Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge

Ability to manage multiple projects or a large standalone scheme

Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
