Remit
Compass Associates are working exclusively with the UK's largest provider of complex care to recruit for a Business Director on behalf of their long standing yet growing case management business based in Bury St Edmunds providing specialist services to adults and children with complex disabilities with expertise includes Case Management, Rehabilitation, Manual Handling, Expert Witness Care Reports, and Care and Support services across the community. This position is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of case management services. This position provides leadership, direction and support for the Case Management Service in the pursuit for best practice to achieve quality outcomes for clients. You will also have responsibility for delivering business performance in line with the 4 Pillars of: Quality & Safety, People, Financial Sustainability and Commercial and the Group Governance Framework.

The Candidate
As part of the local SMT, this role will:
Oversee the Quality Assurance systems ensuring the service is well governed in accordance ACG and any appropriate regulatory policies and procedures
Hold accountability for the standards and quality of the care provided across the Case Management service
Be accountable for financial performance and infrastructure of the Case Management Service, with responsibility to escalate issues areas of risk to the Regional Managing Director
Work in partnership with Regional Head of Finance on all business and financial systems including full budgeting cycle, oversight and monitoring of invoicing processes, charge out rates, credit control, analysis of risk, mitigation and reforecasting, to optimise business efficiency
Overseeing the case management services' performance, including quality control, dealing with complex financial matters, any business-related complaints, escalating to Regional Head of Finance and credit control team as needed
Responsible for business growth, including customer relationship/account management to strengthen and developing existing relationships and to support the referral pipeline
Lead and develop new relationship and service opportunities where appropriate that is consistent with the overall business model and strategy to maintain and grow the referral pipeline
With the Clinical Lead/Registered Manager (or Operations Manager), proactively review, update and implement relevant Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Planning
Working with the Group Commercial team, monitor and analyse trends in referrer trends, exploring expected and unexpected changes, taking steps to seize opportunities and mitigate any commercial risks amongst many other responsibilities.

Requirements
Evidence of operational and business leadership skills in the care sector
Strong commercial and business acumen with evidence of relationship leadership and the ability to foster and maintain positive referrer engagement
Experience of quality assurance monitoring, audit and service evaluation initiatives
Understanding of case management or complex care including neuro/acquired brain injuries.

Location
This role is based in Bury St Edmunds and is commutable from Colchester, Cambridge, Peterborough, Ipswich, Norfolk and others

Interview Process
The interview will consist of multiple zoom calls with the Groups MD followed by a final meeting with the COO / CPO
