Estate Maintenance Operative

This is a permanent, full-time, role - accommodation to be discussed at interview

About the Company:
Our client is a distinguished livestock farm operating on a 340-acre estate in Surrey. The farm is known for its high standards in land, building, and livestock management, with a dedicated team maintaining both the functionality and aesthetics of the estate year-round.

Estate Maintenance Operative - The Job Role Details:
As a member of the Estate Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the estate remains smart, functional, and well-presented throughout the year. You will carry out a wide range of outdoor tasks from mowing and strimming to assisting with livestock and woodland work.

Estate Maintenance Operative - Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate ride-on mowers, strimmers, and blowers for estate upkeep
  • Assist with general maintenance of green spaces and buildings
  • Support the care of sheep and woodland pigs
  • Help with woodland and workshop maintenance during winter months
  • Participate in on-call weekend duties on a rotational basis
  • Work independently and as part of a collaborative estate team

Estate Maintenance Operative - Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have/be:

  • A proactive and practical approach to work with strong attention to detail
  • A genuine interest in countryside and estate management
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on outdoor work
  • Tractor driving experience desirable but not essential - training can be provided
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
